Hi Folks,
I am officially back in the office after my maternity leave and ready to hit the ground running - good thing since spring seems to be on a fast track this year, given the weather we've been having (the last two days notwithstanding!!).
The potential for an early spring has people concerned about early bud break and potential for frost injury (not to mention a possible increase in pest populations - but that's a topic for a whole other blog post!). I saw that the UMass Cranberry Station issued a frost advisory on Sunday night and that they have some great pictures of growth stages for frost tolerances for some of the popular cultivars on their website. I thought I'd share these links with you all and remind everyone to keep a close eye on their vines over the next few weeks and to use frost protection when the weather decides that winter just might not be over afterall!
